Frequently Asked Questions

What are the advantages of using ceramic cups and ceramic mugs?

Ceramic cups and ceramic mugs offer several advantages that make them a popular choice among coffee drinkers. Ceramic is renowned for its excellent heat retention properties, ensuring your brew remains at the desired temperature for longer periods — so you can savour every sip without it rapidly cooling.

How many colours do Loveramics have and what shapes and sizes are available?

The Loveramics range offers a variety of coffee cups and mugs in different shapes and sizes. For a barista-quality coffee you can enjoy on the go, the Loveramics Nomad double-walled mug range is available in multiple colours and features a double-walled design to keep your brew at the perfect temperature for longer. If you’re looking for a cup and saucer set, the Loveramics Egg and Tulip Series come in various sizes (from 80ml to 280ml) and over 20 colours, ranging from neutral shades to vibrant hues, including orange, red, green and blue. For a round and curved cup that retains heat through its heat-trap design, the ceramic mugs in the Loveramics Bond series allow the aromas of your brew to develop fully.

Need a flat cup that’s perfect for cappuccinos and espressos? You can’t go past the Loveramics World Barista Champion Signature Series, made in collaboration with Dale Harris and James Hoffman. With an ergonomic design that allows for easy handling and a multi-sensory sipping experience, these mugs deliver a touch of elegance by highlighting porcelain's natural tones and textures.

No matter what style of brew you enjoy, you’ll find the perfect colourful or neutral-toned Loveramics coffee mug or cup in our range.

How do I clean and maintain ceramic cups to prevent staining and chipping?

Ceramic is a sturdy material that’s usually resistant to chipping and staining, so cleaning and maintaining your ceramic mugs and cups doesn’t require too much effort. However, here are some tips to keep your ceramic coffee mugs and cups in perfect condition:

  • Rinsing and gentle scrubbing — Always rinse your ceramic cup or mug with warm water to remove any coffee residue. It’s best to avoid abrasive scrubbers or harsh chemicals as they can damage the ceramic mug’s glaze and finish. If there are any stubborn stains, use a soft sponge or cloth and a mild dishwashing liquid.
  • Vinegar solution — Another way to remove stains is by soaking your ceramic mugs and cups in a mixture of equal parts water and white vinegar for about 30 minutes.

Stack carefully — When storing your ceramic mugs and cups, avoid stacking them as this can lead to chipping. If you are short on space, we recommend placing a cloth in between each cup to prevent contact.
