common man coffee roasters gitwe hill

Gitwe Hill, Burundi

This coffee comes to us from the Long Miles Coffee Project and is the product of a collaboration between smallholder coffee farmers from Gitwe Hill and the nearby Heza washing station.

This washing station is situated overlooking the neighbouring hills, Mutana and Nkonge, where farmers bring their coffee from for processing. The station sits atop the cliff overlooks the beautiful Kibira forest, the focus of our #TreesForKibira project!

Joining the lot this year are LMCP's very own coffee trees. Grown on the Gitwe Hill these trees are just 2-3 years old and will be the first time they been harvested.

Vibrant floral notes with stone fruit flavours, a juicy body and delicate finish
