This course should appeal to both home-brewers and professional baristas alike, exploring the simplicity and versatility of some very special brewers. This workshop introduces you to filter coffee, specifically, immersion, where we will be using the Clever Coffee Dripper (CCD), Aeropress or the classic, ageless French Press Immersion brewers. You can expect to take home simple yet effective recipes that is sure to impress.

The class contains the following content:

  • Introduction to Filter Coffee – detailing the differences between espresso and filter coffee and immersion and pour-over brews
  • Brewing Techniques – identifying right coffee and grind profiles when building a brewing recipe
  • Quality Evaluation Training – understanding extraction theory and fine-tuning brewing parameters based on visual cues and sensory evaluation
Attendees will understand the theory and practical aspects of immersion brewing and they will be able to brew coffee to an industry standard brew with the Clever Coffee Dripper (CCD) AeroPress and Plunger.
